20 Things to Know About River Revival

  1. Can I go back through after my initial festival purchase to buy more Add Ons? - Yes, as long as your name and email address are the same, you should be good. Go back to the website and click the Add-ons button.

  2. The Saint Arnold Brewery main stage and the Corner Pub stage at Zen City (Stages) - Live music will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The main stage is on the “Lawn” between sites 94-90 and the Corner Pub Stage is at Zen City on site 114 and 113 is the place for live concerts until 2:00 am in a listening-room style format.  From midnight to 10:00 am there are no radios, no plug-in amps, no electronics noise makers allowed outside. If you have a camper feel free to jam tunes inside or play acoustically. Be mindful of other campers always.

  3. May I stay off-site at night and come into play during the day? - Yes, you may stay off site.  Do NOT remove your wristband.  If you remove it, you will not be allowed back into the festival.  No excuses.  Here are some suggestions for off-site lodging:

    Oak Hill River Inn - (830) 907-2525

    River Road Cabins - (877) 577-7667

  4. CHECK IN - Gates open Thursday at 1:00 pm. Check-in is located at the entrance drive thru of the campgrounds (KL Ranch Camp “on the River”- 5455 River Rd. New Braunfels, TX 78132). If you went through our website to buy your ticket, we will scan your ticket(s), you will be given a River Revival wristband, an assigned campsite number/area, the itinerary for the weekend and your On The River parking pass for your vehicle if you purchased one. If you do not receive an electronic or scanned ticket then please contact us prior to the event via email. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

  5. Can I “camp”/sleep in my car? Yes, but if you’re camping at On The River you must purchase a Sleep in Your car 4parking pass in addition to your General Admission Pass.

  6. If I purchase a group package, can my guests arrive before or after I do? - Yes, your guests will simply drop your name at the gate check in during the check in process.

  7. Can I camp with my friends if we buy tickets separately? - Yes, there are prompts in the checkout process wherein you will tell us with whom you want to camp. We will always do our best.

  8. Is every ticket/package all-inclusive? - Yes, no matter what ticket you purchase, you will receive 6 meals: Brunch (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and Dinner (Thursday, Friday, Saturday).

  9. If I am staying at Cliffside, how do I Add a General Admission Pass to my campsite? Instead of purchasing an Add On General Admission pass, simply purchase another Cliffside General Admission pass and follow the checkout questions.

  10. Where’s the best place to get the most sleep? - Cliffside, there’s no live entertainment taking place there at any point during the festival.  It’s fairly quiet throughout the day as well.  At On The River, we suggest the tent section 68-59 as it is the furthest from live entertainment at any hour.

  11. Suggested Camping Gear – River Revival is a true camping festival, so bring all your camping gear and supplies like any other camping trip. Here is our highly recommended the following: Shaded tarps, Lawn Chairs, Blankets, Trash bags, Drinking Water, Cool Tent (or teepee), Sleeping bag, Earplugs, Food, bathing suit (or not at night), a fishing pole, ice (sold on the grounds), floating device(s), and do not forget RIVER SHOES.

  12. Campfires - When there is a fire-ban, NO Fires are allowed. Remember to be smart and use caution, but we strongly believe campfires are good for the soul. For updates on the fire ban refer to this link.

  13. Be Responsible - If anyone displays any actions of overconsumption, they will be asked to go to their tent. If further action is required, we will get them a ride off the campgrounds and a hotel to sleep it off. We ask that you act responsibly and respectfully at all times.

  14. Are pets allowed? - No, pets are not allowed. Do not bring your dogs or your cats to River Revival. They are not welcome. It is the campgrounds policy because they have geese, ducks, and animals of their own on the property. If you plan to bring a service animal, please EMAIL US in advance

  15. Can I bring my kids to River Revival? River Revival was not designed for kids, but they are welcome. There is more of an adult atmosphere at night, so please be mindful of that. Kids under 12 are free. As part of our community, we ask that everyone watch ALL the kids at River Revival like they are your own, especially around the water. Children are not allowed to be in the water unattended and everyone who cannot swim needs to have a life-jacket always in or near the river.

  16. Art Installations - Multiple Artists will be camping with us at River Revival. They will be improving the campgrounds throughout the weekend with colors and textures and digital art. Please respect all the artwork and its space.

  17. Shopping - Splice Records will have a merch table that is open during the day twice a day and on Sunday morning on the Lawn. There will also be vendor activations on “the Lawn”. Vendors in the past have included clothing, Henna, Massage Therapy, camping equipment, jewelry, and much more. Some will have merchandise for sale and some will handouts for FREE. Take care of them. The Campgrounds does have a small store at On The River and a larger store at Cliffside. These are open throughout the weekend. Ice, firewood (if we can have fires), beer, food, limited camping supplies, etc.

  18. Vehicles - We ask that everyone try their best to carpool. We will have FREE parking in the lot across the street. You will be asked to drop off your supplies at your campsite then move your car to the designated parking areas. You can purchase the On The River parking pass from the Add Ons menu or at Check In if you want to park at On The River. After Thursday at 5 pm, no cars will be allowed past site 84. So 84-114 sites do not allow parking nor cars unless you have an overnight, sleep in your car parking pass.

  19. Cigarettes - Smoking cigarettes is your choice but throwing your cigarette butts on the campgrounds or in the river is not a choice. If we see you throwing your cigarette butts with no regard for nature, you will be asked to pick it up. If we see you do it over and over, we will ask you to leave. Keeping the campgrounds clean is a BIG DEAL. The “Lawn”, where the meals and music will be held is a cigarette free area. Don’t Mess with Texas!

  20. Award Ceremony - Every year, we like to gather everyone together to shower our wonderful and creative campers with awards. There will be prizes given away at River Revival for these categories:

    * King & Queen Camper: We will crown the best campers of the weekend. These people have the best attitudes, are having the best time and generally embrace all that is River Revival.

    * The ‘Shoulda Been at Woodstock’ Award: If you were to time travel back to 1969’s Woodstock, you’d probably see this person there.  Not by their age, but by their vibe and attitude.

    * Best Campsite/Tent/Setup: It’s interesting how camping has evolved. This award goes to the group or individual Splice Records believes had the best idea for their area/campsite. Whether it’s simply your tent or your entire campsite, feel free to decorate or embellish. The more beautiful the grounds, the happier the community.

    * Most Creative Style: We encourage fashion through creativity… we suggest that everyone come with your best river-festival look and you may be crowned the most creative and stylized person of the weekend.
